Malta Enterprise has been awarded the United Nations Conference on Trade and Investment (UNCTAD) Investment Promotion Award 2012 for its hard earned efforts of attracting foreign investment to Malta and supporting those businesses based in Malta in developing and expanding their operations.

Malta's Niche Sectors Development

The Investment Promotion Award 2012 further recognised Malta Enterprise’s role in developing niche sectors in Malta such as life sciences, digital gaming and aviation.

Malta's International Promotion Award

This international promotion award honours the world’s best agencies in investment promotion for job creation and skills development. The second runner up this year was Mexico and China was awarded third place.

Mr. Camilleri said that “Malta should be very happy and honoured to receive this important recognition, especially when one considers the extremely difficult operating environment in which it has been achieved. It also pays tribute to local and foreign investors who keep on believing in the resources and capabilities of our nation,” adding that this international award shall definitely boost Malta’s reputation for prospective investors.
