The Competitiveness Report, published annually by the World Economic Forum has shown that Malta's ranking has increased with four places, placing Malta in the 47th place in the Global Competitiveness index.
The increase in rank is bound to attract investors thereby assisting in increasing Malta's economic growth targets as well as enhancing the local employment market. The Ministry of Finance has held that Malta is one of amongst three of the 27 Member States which has witnessed an increase in its ranking.
Malta's financial services industry has also been ranked amongst the top countries for its specialisation and availability in the industry, financing through local equity markets, ease of access to loans and stability of loans.
