Malta - Uruguay Double Tax Agreement approved

The Double Tax Agreement negotiated between Uruguay and Malta has been approved by Uruguay's National Assembly. The agreement was signed on 11^th March 2011, being the first such agreements signed with a South American country

While removing tax impediments for business and investment between the two states, the agreement has been drafted in line with internationally agreed standards approved by the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development for the exchange of information and mutual assistance.
