On Thursday, October 13, 2016, between 3:00 PM and 4:00 PM CEST, the Yachting department will be hosting a Webinar: Malta VAT Yacht Solutions 2016.
Dr Daniela Galea, Team Leader of the Commercial Law Practice Group at Chetcuti Cauchi, will be delivering a presentation to explain how yacht owners may benefit from VAT rates calculated on the percentage of the time that the vessel is deemed to sail in EU waters and for them to obtain a VAT paid certificate at the termination of the structure through the VAT Yacht Solutions.
The aim of Webinar: Malta VAT Yacht Solutions 2016 is to understand how the VAT on yacht lease structure operates and how yacht owners may benefit from registering their yachts or superyachts in Malta and pay VAT at a rate which may go as low as 5.4%, based on the length overall of the yacht and propulsion. This, in turn, will allow free yacht circulation in the European Union, making resale of the yacht easier.
Date: 13th of October 2016
Time: 3:00 PM – 4:00 PM CEST
Webinar: Malta VAT Yacht Solutions 2016 is free of charge but since the number of attendees is limited, may we kindly ask you to register here.
