Claris Foundation joined forces with Lorinda Mamo over Christmas to gift the St Angela Home children with a bag of joy. Organised by Claris Foundation and the lawyers at Chetcuti Cauchi Advocates, the initiative was jointly organised with Lorinda Mamo, lifestyle and parenting blogger at A Bird with a French Fry and owner of HappyPlay Co.

Bags of crafts, creative items, stationery, toiletries, and other innovative items were delivered to the 28 children at the home. This year, the foundation wished to give gifts that go “the extra mile”. Therefore, the idea of creating unique gift baskets came up, gifts that would keep the kids busy in creativity during this pandemic season and these ‘different’ times.

Maria Chetcuti Cauchi (Chair, Claris Foundation) stated:

“We did not want to merely purchase 'generic' items. We wanted gifts that make a difference, that would last long and would engage the kids into a creative world. All this would not have been possible had it not been for the hard work of all the professionals at Chetcuti Cauchi Advocates, in raising funds and awareness for the needs of the children and Lorinda. Lorinda was also instrumental in lending her design and creative skills to such an initiative and to work hard to bring all together. We are grateful for all her patience and support”.

“It was also a great experience to work with Lorinda. She is passionate in all she does, open to all suggestions and last-minute changes, very creative and kind. Claris hopes to work with her throughout the year to make sure that the contributions we give are not merely monetary but well-thought and from the heart.”

We urge everyone to make it a quarterly commitment to lend assistance and help every quarter of the year. We make many commitments in life, be it personal, social, health or other types of commitments. Lending time and finances throughout the year should be a goal we seek to achieve to make sure that we are not merely Christmas givers but committed givers - this should be a lifetime goal.

The Ursoline sisters and their home have been a special cause for Claris Foundation for the last fifteen years and the foundation seeks to aid not merely during the festive season but throughout the year. The home currently houses children ranging from the age of three to thirteen years.
